UL optical, photo-thermal & heat addressable detector range

Eaton's range of UL addressable detectors has been specifically designed to operate with its UL-listed range of addressable fire alarm systems. Three detector technologies are available: optical, photo-thermal detector and heat.

Suitable for most commercial applications the optical detector offers the fastest response to slow burning or smouldering fires. While the photo-thermal variant provides the quickest response to fast clean burning fires.

The heat version is for industrial or commercial applications where ambient conditions might cause false alarms due to high levels of dust, fumes, steam or smoke - such as in kitchens or workshops.

Mounting options
Surface mounting with standard base compatible with all technologies
Area coverage
50m² or 100m² (subject to local standard)
Low-maintenance
'Clean me' feature for on-site maintenance

From clean burning to smouldering; Eaton has a UL listed addressable fire detector to suit the application

UL optical smoke sensor

Optical sensor

Giving the fastest response to slow burning or smouldering fires which give rise to large visible smoke particles.
UL opto-heat sensor

Photo-thermal sensor

Respond quickly to fast clean burning fires yet maintain the advantage of optical sensors when detecting smouldering fires.
Eaton Multi-Mode Heat Detector

Multi-mode heat sensor

These sensors can be set to one of 3 modes 77ºC / 92ºC and rate of rise.

Ready for UL 268 7th Edition?

Effective from 30th June 2024, UL detector standards mandate that smoke alarms become better suited to modern homes. To fulfil this need, Eaton has developed a new range of addressable smoke detectors - available with either optical or photo-thermal technology.

Soft addressed for quick commissioning

All the addressable sensors are soft addressed allowing engineers to program the device at the panel instead of on location, reducing commissioning time and cost.

360° Visibility light pipe LED technology

An onboard light emitting diode (LED) utilises light pipe technology to emit a light which is visible in 360° for peace of mind and easy maintenance.

Discreet, simple design

Designed to integrate into any decor, Eaton's range of UL listed addressable optical, multi-mode and photothermal detectors all boast a consistent clean design.
