The Crouse-Hinds series MTL ZoneBarrier range is a uniquely modular, data, signal line and telecom protection system for 24V, 4-20mA current loop, RS232, RS485, RS422, Dial up, Leased Line, T1 ADSL and Ethernet applications. Available for up to Category 6 for a full range of Ethernet applications from 10-Base-T to 1000-Base-T (Gigabit Ethernet), including Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications. By providing an effective barrier between uncontrolled transient environments and your valuable electronic systems, the ZoneBarrier range protects you from costly system downtime and equipment failure.

The application of high-speed Ethernet and Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices is increasing dramatically in industries such as process, industrial, manufacturing, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), and Security. The ZB-4PPOE version is designed to IEEE802.3 bt standards to meet the highest power requirements of 4-pair POE (4PPOE) and offers 20KA (8/20 µS) surge rating to protect the Ethernet infrastructure.

ZoneBarrier range has a 10-year “No fuss” warranty and Ethernet-compatible versions are UL497B certified. 2459x versions are available with IECEx and ATEX certification to Ex ia.
