RC Radio Controller

The RC Radio Controller permits the remote activation of the airport lighting system by the pilot. This is accomplished by keying the aircraft’s microphone in a particular sequence at a designated frequency.

The one-step RC is activated upon receiving a series of pulses of radio frequency energy within a five-second period. After receipt of five pulses the relay closes. The solid-state timer will continue to operate for 15 minutes, then the system reverts to the “off” condition.

The 3-step RC is activated upon receiving a series of pulses of radio frequency energy within a 5-second period. At the third pulse the first relay closes, at the fifth pulse the second relay closes and at the seventh pulse the third relay closes. At any time the pilot has the option of sending three, five or seven pulses to control the intensity level to suit his needs.
