DC Energy Meter

The Eaton DC Energy Meter (DEM) measures the current and voltage of DC powered equipment racks using precision Hall Effect current transducers. The DEM samples the supply voltages and currents at regular intervals and along with the sampling period will compute the accumulated energy consumption as an Energy Meter reading in kWh.  8 current input channels, dual (A+B) power feeds and configurable system alarms make the DEM perfectly suited for various applications such as telecommunications, communication building monitoring and 48V DC power system energy measurement.

Rated Voltage
24 V to 48 VDC
Operational Range
18 V to 60 VDC

Intelligent system

The DC Energy Meter features a color LCD front panel interface and is designed for power systems operating at 24V and 48V DC. It measures cumulative kWh, minimum and maximum power, and other parameters of up to 8 independent circuits. The DC Energy Meter operates stand alone and can work with any DC power system.

Efficient solution for you

The DEM is powered from the DC power supply and is configured as an A+B system to measure energy from duplicated DC systems. The DEM supports up to 8 logical Energy Meters, one for each current transducer as well as 2 logical plane ‘A’ and plane ‘B’ Energy Meters that aggregate the energy reading of the individual plane ‘A’ and plane ‘B’ Energy Meter readings.

System controller with higher performance

The SC300 System Controller for DEM is an advanced control and monitoring solution for Eaton DC Power Solutions. Its features such as high-level communication capability, built-in intelligence, comprehensive alarm and system status notifications support you to minimize your operational expenses and optimize system performance under a wide range of environmental conditions.
