DC-DC Converter to support 5G Radio Deployments

5G radios use more power than existing 3G and 4G (RRU/AAU). Therefore existing telecom installations with additional power hungry remote radio units requires careful consideration as replacing your entire power infrastructure that includes DC cabling and rectifier system, isn’t a viable option

In order to avoid significant investment, MCU-ES 2kW DC/DC converter boosts voltage during normal and backup scenarios to ensure applied voltage at the input terminals of the radio is maintained in order to overcome voltage drop.

Intelligent and easy to use system

This modular converter features intelligent digital signal processing for enhanced control, producing peak efficiency up to 96 % for typical operating loads. Compatible and configurable using SC300 system controller, a 19” magazine is available to cater for 18kW. Quantity of DCDC modules used per site dependent on customer specification.
