PF6/7 xPole Residual Current Circuit Breaker

Eaton offers a complete range of compact residual current devices for fault current/residual current and additional protection, suitable for residential and small commercial use.
Rated short circuit strength
6 kA or 10 kA
according to
IEC/EN 61008
Sensitivity
AC and pulsating DC

Core features

  • Compatible with other P-series devices' standard busbar connection
  • Type -S: Selective AC sensitive RCD. Compulsory for systems with downstream surge arresters
  • Type -A: Protects against special forms of non-smoothed residual pulsating DC
  • Type -G/A, -S/A: Protects against special forms of non-smoothed residual pulsating DC
  • Twin-purpose terminal (lift/open-mouthed)
  • Universal tripping signal switch-indicator red - green
  • Subsequent mounting of auxiliary switch Z-HK
  • Delayed types suitable for standard fluorescent tubes with/without electronical ballast (30mA-RCD: 30 units per phase, 100mA-RCD: 90 units per phase)
  • Tripping is line voltage-independent, RCD suitable for “fault current/residual current protection” and “additional protection”
  • 4-pole device can also be used for 2- or 3-pole connection
  • Type -R: To avoid unwanted tripping due to X-ray devices (PF6)
  • Type -G: High reliability against unwanted tripping. Compulsory for circuits where personal injury or damage to property may occur

Different types for various applications. . .

Type -A:
Protects against special forms of residual pulsating DC which have not been smoothed.

Type -S:
Selective residual current device sensitive to AC, type -S. Compulsory for systems with surge arresters downstream of the RCD.

Type -G:
High reliability against unwanted tripping. Compulsory for any circuit where personal injury or damage to property may occur in case of unwanted tripping.

Type -S/A:
Additionally protects against special forms of residual pulsating DC which have not been smoothed.

Type -G/A:
Additionally protects against special forms of residual pulsating DC which have not been smoothed. Special types for X-ray application PFIM-...-R.

Reliable protection for machines

These products provide an optimal system and additional protection against residual earth leakage currents for a wide range of applications by offering different tripping characteristics to cater for various electrical systems and components that can generate. Available in a comprehensive range of nominal current values and with optional accessories.

The PF6 and PF7 are suitable for protection

The tripping of the PF6 and PF7 xPole RCCBs are line voltage-independent. Consequently, the RCCB is suitable for “fault current/residual current protection” and “additional protection” within the the meaning of the applicable installation rules.
