FD40 Part Winding – EPCT Fire

The FD40, type EPCT fire controller is a full-service, part-winding reduced-voltage controller. A part-winding fire pump controller reduces the starting current by up to 40% while maintaining up to 50% motor starting torque. The FD40 is the most economical method of reduced voltage starting, however it requires a special motor, wound for part-winding starting.
