Arc-resistant Magnum DS low-voltage switchgear (ArcGard)

Arc-resistant switchgear is designed to safely contain and redirect arc flash energy away from the operator. Eaton's ArcGard Arc-resistant Magnum DS switchgear has been tested in all three compartments for a full 0.5 seconds (30 cycles), passing the ANSI/IEEE C37.20.7, Type 2B test guide at 100 kA, 508V and 85 kA, 635V, including an industry-exclusive Type 2B rating for the secondary door above the breakers.

Certified to enhance safety.

ANSI Type 2B is certified arc-resistant around the entire perimeter of the equipment, even when the low voltage instrument compartment door and the secondary door above the breaker door are open. Type 2B rating offers superior protection against arcs in breaker, bus or cable compartments with no increase in footprint over Magnum DS switchgear.
