Enclosed meters

Eaton’s enclosed energy meters provide a complete electric metering and data acquisition solution in a single enclosure. The single or multi-meter solution offers mounting and installation flexibility in retrofit applications where no metering compartment or mounting space is available or when installation time is at a premium. Eaton’s enclosed meter line offers labour and installation cost savings, because input current and voltage wiring, as well as I/O wiring, is prewired to terminal blocks inside the enclosure.

NEMA 12 enclosure prevents dust and other materials from entering the equipment. Internal gaskets also prevent air irritants from harming the vital equipment inside. This quality enclosure meets most indoor application needs.
NEMA 3R enclosure is constructed for either indoor or outdoor use. It helps to protect personnel from access to hazardous parts and provides a degree of protection for equipment inside the enclosure against the ingress of solid foreign objects (falling dirt), the harmful effects of water (rain, sleet, snow) and external formation  of ice on the enclosure. 
NEMA 4X enclosure provides the same degree of protection as the NEMA 3R with  additional protection against  windblown dust, splashing,  hose-directed water  and corrosion.

Single enclosure unit

  • Only one part number to order, so no need to worry that any part has been left out.
  • Current transformer inputs for the meter are wired directly to shorting terminal blocks for easy field installation.
  • Primary fusible disconnect for line voltage that can be turned off during meter maintenance to ensure safety.
  • Factory-wired products save on installation time and cost.
  • Internal gaskets prevent airborne irritants from harming the vital equipment inside.
  • Available with the IQ 130/140/150, IQ 250/260 and Power Xpert Meter 2000 Series.

  • Preconfigured Power Xpert Gateway 200E with four Eaton meters.
  • NEMA 12 enclosure to meet most indoor application needs.
  • NEMA 3R and 4X for more stringent environmental conditions.
  • Semi-flush (NEMA 12) mounted meters on the enclosure door.
  • Hinged front opening door.
  • Pre-wired neutral and ground terminal blocks.
