Core features

  • Enhanced processing power, memory capacity and data sampling supports simple to advanced applications using ProView NXG software and WorkBench NXG
  • Extensive diagnostics and communications tools facilitate monitoring and analysis of the system and the control and enable flexible, upgradable communication capabilities
  • Integrated security tools help prevent cyber intrusions and unauthorised access and are capable of evolving to meet emerging threats to the distribution infrastructure
  • Integrated security protocols and encryption secure digital communications, helping to thwart cyberattacks that could disable extensive portions of the distribution grid
  • Modular, flexible and scalable architecture and expansion bays to accommodate easy field upgrades and new feature implementation
  • Expandability facilitates faster development and easier delivery of new features and updates, affording the flexibility and agility to meet today’s requirements and future needs, both planned and unexpected

Technologically advanced features

Eaton’s Form 7 recloser control includes modular, flexible and scalable hardware featuring an 800 MHz quad-core processor, 1 GB RAM and 4 GB flash storage. The control’s modular layout allows you to easily insert hardware as new applications arise and requirements change.

Integrated security tools help prevent local intrusion or unauthorised operation

Eaton’s Cooper Power series Form 7 recloser control includes an array of integrated security tools to help prevent local intrusion or unauthorised operation. This array provides a role-based access control (RBAC) user audit log, signed firmware and an optional door switch (which reports door opening/closing or switch disconnection status). Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption tools can be used to establish a secure, private communication channel for SCADA traffic and remote connection to ProView NXG.

Simplified training and operator familiarity

Eaton’s Form 7 recloser control’s powerful Workbench NXG provides a highly intuitive graphical user interface that simplifies training and operator familiarity. Workbench NXG logic is readily transparent and provides powerful logic tools that allow you to customise control functions or create powerful, unique applications.
