Oxygen system valves

Eaton makes a crew oxygen regulator refill valve and an oxygen filler valve for commercial aircraft as well as a manual globe valve used on nuclear submarines and surface vessels where high pressure oxygen is used.

2239 Series crew oxygen regulator refill valve

Our 2239 Series crew oxygen regulator refill valve provides breathing oxygen for distribution to crew stations on large commercial aircraft. It’s equipped with a solid-state pressure transducer mounted on the inlet side to provide remote indication of oxygen supply pressure, a relief valve to protect the system from overpressure and an optional fill/check valve for system charging. This cylinder mounted oxygen regulator delivers 70 +/- 8 psig pre-set outlet pressure and is FAA, EASA and US DOT approved.

Manual globe valve

Our manual globe valves control the flow of oxygen, nitrogen and helium in nuclear submarines and surface vessels. Our 1970 series of high-pressure manual globe valves were developed in response to the U.S. Navy’s requirement for a packless, rugged and reliable valve that is compatible and safe with high pressure oxygen reaching up to 4,500 psi. Our standard manual globe valve is used as a shut-off valve and features a neoflon seat sealing internal leakage from inlet to outlet, a metal-to-metal seat providing a seal from external leakage and nickel-copper body construction for maximum corrosion resistance.

2279 Series oxygen filler valve

Eaton’s 2279 Series oxygen filler valve provides remote fill capability for gaseous oxygen systems on commercial aircraft. When the oxygen charge system is connected to the oxygen filler valve inlet port the filler valve automatically controls the fill rate of the aircraft’s oxygen cylinders, prevents excessive temperature rise in the oxygen system and automatically terminates the charging operation when oxygen cylinder pressure reaches approximately 1800 psig. The 2279 Series oxygen filler valve is FAA, EASA and US DOT approved.

Oxygen Cylinder and Valve Assembly

Eaton’s oxygen cylinder and valve assembly is a component of aircraft gaseous emergency oxygen systems. This assembly has been approved for installation on commercial aircraft. The carbon fiber, full composite (CFFC) cylinder has a 15-year service life and offers a 16 lb. weight savings over a conventional steel cylinder. The valve assembly slow-opening feature maximizes oxygen safety, and it has a safety relief device for overboard discharge, filtered inlet/outlet ports and an integral pressure gauge.
