Eaton's main circuit breakers are used in a variety of applications including the main or emergency disconnect on the outside of a house, a tenant main breaker in group metering stacks and feed-through lug blocks specifically designed for sub-feeding from an existing panel. Main breakers are available with a variety of accessories including shunt trip, bell alarms and auxiliary switches.
Series ratings
When two or more overcurrent protective devices (OCPDs) are connected in series, the interrupting current rating of the downstream device or devices should be less than the interrupting current rating of the system.
