Our Air Dry air control panels control and regulate pressure in the dry air distribution system following the user’s electronic equipment pressure requirements. The air control panel provides gauges, a flow meter and a humidity indicator that enable personnel to monitor the dry air supply to their equipment.
Four types of air control panels are available in accordance with NAVSHIPS standard drawing 810-1385925 (Rev. B, C & E). Selection depends on the electronic equipment’s outlet pressure and flow rate requirements.
Most air control panels require an inlet air pressure from 80-125 psig. Control panels receive low-pressure dry air from a Type II dehydrator (-40°F/-40°C dew point) and reduce to a level appropriate for the application. Pressure regulation is provided by two pressure regulators (or one for Type III).
A humidity system monitors the moisture content of air passing through the panel and energizes a local alarm if the moisture level rises above a preset value of -15°F/-21°C dewpoint at 80 psig.* (For special application – use where type I, II or III cannot meet the pressure or flow rate requirements of the user equipment.)
