This residual current operated circuit breaker with integrated overcurrent protection in 2-pole is a high-quality residual current circuit breaker and miniature circuit breaker combination. The line voltage independent PKP device is part of the xPole series and can be used for residential buildings as well as for commercial applications.

A red-green contact position indicator and a white-blue fault tripping indicator makes it immediately apparent what is going on: green indicates open contacts and red indicates closed contacts. A tripping by a fault current is signalled by the blue display, white indicates that either the MCB part was "tripped" or that it was switched off. The combined RCD/MCB device is compatible with standard busbars, a twin-purpose terminal (lift/open-mouthed) is available for quick and easy mounting at the top and as well as at the bottom. In addition, a 3-position DIN rail clip and a secure terminal connection serve as an installation guide/help.

Eaton's high quality standard guarantees comprehensive personal- and equipment protection by combining the functionalities of a residual current circuit breaker with those of a miniature circuit breaker. Spend less time and effort wiring while still protecting the system against overload, short circuit and residual current. Using Eaton's line of RCBOs, your electrical system will increase in safety and reliability.

Suitable types for all contingencies

Separate end circuits increase the system availability and operational safety to a high extend. Faults will affect only an end circuit and not a root protection device and provides additional ease at finding a fault. Furthermore, a root RCD will have to work with various noises and an added sum of leakage currents during normal operations, which could lead in the worst case to unwanted nuisance tripping. Protecting circuits individually against residual currents guarantees highest system availability!

Type A: Ideal for standard application. This type of protection reliably detects pure sinusoidal AC residual currents as well as pulsating DC residual currents and reacts accordingly.

Type LiA: As Type A, but in addition it is short-time delayed. Highly reliable against unwanted tripping.

Type AC: This type only detects pure sinusoidal AC residual currents.

Type F: Higher immunity against smooth DC currents and enhanced surge proof capabilities. Detection of fault currents up to 1 kHz.

IEC Standard quality design

Eaton´s RCBOs adhere to IEC / EN 61009 – a standard covering residual current operated circuit-breakers with integral overcurrent protection (RCBOs) for fixed installation up to 125A.

All requirements according to the product standards are fulfilled and applicable additional standards are printed onto the device itself.
