Composite cylinders

Eaton supplies a full line of high performance, durable and lightweight composite cylinders for space, aviation, military and emergency response applications. Our composite cylinders are used on aircraft to deploy escape slides, life rafts and provide emergency breathing oxygen to the crew and passengers. The composite vessels we make for use in space applications consist of DOT and S-081 off-the-shelf and customized designs for control gases, life support and fuel systems. Other applications include firefighter and military self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), medical gas storage and specialized uses like lightweight ballistic tolerant pressure vessels for use in military aircraft, ground vehicles, and high-altitude parachutists.

Eaton can customize a composite cylinder design to meet your needs. We also offer standardized solutions in a variety of sizes, service pressures, colors, finishes including Chemical Agent Resistant Coating and custom logos or labels.

Our engineers are ready to deliver field-proven composite cylinders for your application’s most challenging weight, strength and safety requirements.

Eaton’s carbon/aluminum composite pressure vessels are DOT-approved.
