Eaton's 09 backshells are ideal for medium- to heavy-duty clamp applications. For strain relief, our 001 part designator is a cable clamp that grips the wire bundle to prevent contacts from pulling out of connectors; and our 021 part designator uses a tie wrap to prevent the bundle and contact from pulling out of the connector insert. Straight and 90° configuration angles secure wire direction.
M85049 “N” backshell category-approved design seats at the root of connector teeth, preventing loose engagement and loss of attenuation for electrical continuity. The 09 Series uses standard plastic straps to secure the bundle and prevent contact and wires from being pulled out of connector inserts. Self-seating couplings are manufactured to AS85049 QPL Stand “N” category for non-detented, self-locking coupling devices.
A cable clamp, a right-angle design, or more generally a sealing level could be required at the rear of the plug. When several connectors are close to each other, it could be necessary to be able to determine quickly what connector needs to be connected to another one. Thanks to a color coding ring available, we offer a visual discrimination for the UTS series. Discrimination of connectors is also possible for all other series with our discrimination pins.
