Our solid steel shell is cadmium-plated and withstands 48 hours of salt spray and 500 mating cycles. Marine bronze shells can withstand a minimum of 500 hours of salt spray.
The first mate-last break ground contact is safely connected to the shell. The additional pilot contact allows the usage in hot mate/unmate conditions (breaking capacity).
