Aircraft ground power custom receptacles

Eaton combines advanced engineering tools with an extensive array of vertically-integrated-manufacturing resources to quickly deliver custom aviation ground power solutions. Eaton's custom receptacle capabilities augment a broad range of standard aviation ground power receptacles and plug/cable assemblies.

Airframe-specific 400hz, 28vdc and 270vdc receptacles

Custom 400Hz, 28VDC and 270VDC receptacles are available with airframe and GPU specific form factors, custom mounting flanges, replaceable pins, and spring-loaded covers.

The 270VDC receptacle depicted to the left, and the mating cable assembly, was develpoed for a military helicopter and meets the requirements of MIL-C-81790 where applicable. In addition to providing 270VDC at 120 amps, the airframe receptacles and GPU cables facilitate the distribution of 28VDC at 40 amps.

In-flight disconnects

A broad range of flight-proven technologies can be leveraged to quickly develop custom in-flight disconnects. Design options include:

  • Fully integrated connector-and-actuator solutions in mechanically and electrically initiated configurations.
  • Release redundancy facilitated by any combination of mechanical lanyard releases and/or electrical pin puller release mechanisms.
  • Anti-bind roll-off shells, 360-degree EMI protection, electrically and thermally deadfaced configurations, push-pull snap action couplings, and visual and tactile mating indicators.
  • Single and dual-lanyard-release connectors in custom, MIL-DTL-38999 Series III and Series IV form factors.
