Eaton switch & control gear enclosure

The modular connection terminal consists of a combination of several highly stable terminal blocks. It is used for connecting two or more conductors, such as cables, flexible copper strips or copper bars, inside a power or control panel. We offer a wide range of options as standard, with six frame sizes that cover the current range from 40 to 1,000 A. Optional accessories include IP2X finger protection, as well as conversion kits.

Flexible and safe

Thanks to its modular design, the IPK protection cover for the xEffect K-type terminals from Eaton offers maximum flexibility in combination with IP2X protection. The contact protection covers are heat resistant up to 105°C and expand our tried and tested range of terminal block covers for sizes K95 to K2X240. The innovative lamellar structure facilitates precise installation of the covers, which is particularly important when expanding or modernising existing systems. Due to the flexible design, the contact protection cover can be used on the entry and outgoing side, as required.

Developed for use in low-voltage power distribution systems

Due to their extraordinary stability and robustness, the xEffect K-type terminal blocks can be used as feed or output terminals in low-voltage distribution systems according to IEC/EN 61439-2. For example, they are used in our xEnergy Safety Ci distributor systems with a short-circuit strength of up to 50 kA (in combination with the NZM circuit breakers).

Fast, easy installation

The copper or aluminum conductors can be easily and quickly inserted into the box terminals from above and do not require any bending.

What stands out, for example, is the comprehensive portfolio of accessories, which can be individually assembled and easily installed. In combination with Eaton's K-type terminals, the NZM circuit breakers are the ideal solution for power distribution applications that meet the highest standards.
