FAZ-DC xEffect Miniature Circuit Breaker

The FAZ-DC miniature circuit breaker is a protective device equipped with both a thermal and an electromagnetic release that is available in 1- and 2-pole versions. The FAZ is available with rated currents of 2 A to 50 A. The switching capacity is 10 kA according to IEC/EN 60947-2 The DC rated voltage is 220 V per pole for the 2 A version, and 250 V per pole for the 3 A to 50 A versions. A guide for secure terminal connection and a 3-position DIN-rail simplify the installation of the circuit breaker.

Reliable cable protection

MCBs protect cables against damage due to overload and short circuits: In the event of dangerously high currents, the circuit breaker’s bimetallic thermal release will disconnect the power supply. In the event of a short circuit, the electromagnetic release will disconnect the power supply in a timely manner.

A design that is standard-compliant and quality-tested

IEC/EN 60947-2 (VDE 0660-101) applies to circuit breakers in circuits with rated voltages up to 1,000 V AC, or up to 1,500 V DC. The FAZ-DC miniature circuit breakers from Eaton are type-tested and approved according to this European standard.

The right MCB for every situation

Circuit breakers with tripping characteristics B and C are the most common types. For circuits with high inrush and peak currents (e.g. motors and luminaire banks) devices with tripping characteristic C are used.
