PLG4/6 xPole Miniature Circuit Breaker

The PLG4 and PLG6 miniature circuit breakers are protective devices equipped with both a thermal and an electromagnetic release that are available in 1P+N pole version with a width of 1 module unit requiring little space for installation. The PLG4 and PLG6 are available with rated currents of 6 A to 63 A and tripping charasteristics B and C. The rated breaking capacity is 4.5 kA at PLG4 and 6 kA at PLG6 according to IEC/EN 60898.

Most common overcurrent protection devices

MCBs protect cables against damage due to overload and short circuits: In the event of dangerously high currents, the circuit breaker’s bimetallic thermal release will disconnect the power supply. In the event of a short circuit, the electromagnetic release will disconnect the power supply in a timely manner.

Standard-compliant miniature circuit breaker

The standard EN 60898-1 is a standard for electrical installation material, circuit breaker for home installations and similar purposes. These specific types carry as well the IEC/EN 60947-2 approval.

The right MCB for every situation

Circuit breakers with tripping characteristic B are the standard MCB type used for lighting and socket circuits. For circuits with high inrush and peak currents (e. g. motors) devices with tripping characteristic C are used.
