De Atlantic LED-armatuurserie heeft een isolatieklasse van IP65 en door het gebruik van UV-bestendige materialen en een bijzonder robuuste constructie, zijn de armaturen ideaal voor buitengebruik of toepassing in industriële omgevingen. Versies met een optionele zelfregulerende batterijverwarming maken een plaatsing in een omgevingstemperatuur tot -20°C mogelijk.
Het assortiment omvat armaturen met verschillende lenzen voor vluchtroute- of ruimteverlichting. Daarnaast zijn er armaturen voor enkel- of dubbelzijdige vluchtroute-aanduiding met een optimale zichtbaarheid van het pictogram door de hoge lichtsterkte. Atlantic LED is ook geschikt voor gebruik in de voedselverwerkende industrie volgens de normen IFS en HACCP.
Noodverlichtingsarmaturen kunnen ook buiten of in vochtige ruimtes worden toegepast. Hierdoor groeit de behoefte aan armaturen die bestand zijn tegen het binnendringen van water en stof. Bij buitengebruik is de UV-bestendigheid ook een belangrijke factor.
Keuringen aan de hand van EN 60529 en DIN EN 60598-1 worden uitgevoerd om de beschermingsgraad te bepalen. Gebruikelijke beschermingsgraden voor technische armaturen zijn IP54 (bescherming tegen stof en spatwater) en IP65 (bescherming tegen stof en spat- en spuitwater).
