Crouse-Hinds series CEAG eXlink connectors with pre-assembled branching/terminal boxes allow quick and safe connect and disconnect (hot swapping), without additional wiring work, in Zones 1 and 21 hazardous areas.
Control units can be connected to a pre-assembled eXlink branching box and disconnected using eXlink plugs, providing cost and time savings during service and repair work, without an additional switch. All connectors can be plugged or disconnected during operation.
If terminal boxes are used for distributing bus cables, these can also be plugged during operation – no reboot or shut down of the system is necessary, which makes diagnosis or re-configuration that much easier. There is also no need to waste time isolating devices or shutting down a machine in the process.
