xEffect Combined RCD/MCB Device FRBdM, 1+N and 2-pole

This FRBdM in 1+N and 2-pole is a high-quality residual current circuit breaker and miniature circuit breaker combination with line voltage-dependent tripping and a wide variety of rated tripping currents. The built-in electronics precisely monitors where the currents flow. The difference between harmless and critical residual currents will be detected. Its integrated digital technology offers predictive diagnostics of the level of leakage current via LED indication. 

The FRBdM-RCD/MCB is compatible with Busbars. A twin-purpose terminal (lift/open-mouthed) is available for easy and quick mounting at the top and bottom.

Suitable RCD/MCB types for all contingencies

Separate end circuits increase the system availability and operational safety to a high extend. Faults will affect only an end circuit and not a root protection device and provides additional ease at finding a fault. Furthermore, a root RCD will have to work with various noises and an added sum of leakage currents during normal operations, which could lead in the worst case to unwanted nuisance tripping. Protecting circuits individually against residual currents guarantees highest system availability!

  • Type A: Protects against special forms of DC residual currents.
  • Type G: Protects against nusiance tripping.
  • Type F: Higher immunity against smooth DC currents and enhanced surge current proof capabilities.

IEC Standard quality design

Eaton´s RCBOs adhere to IEC / EN 61009 – a standard covering residual current operated circuit-breakers with integral overcurrent protection (RCBOs) for fixed installation up to 125 A.

All requirements according to the product standards are fulfilled and applicable additional standards are printed onto the device itself.

Type F for industrial applications and machinery

Outages of machines are costly and finding the reason can be problematic. Often the reason can be that modern machines have modern loads built into them. Mains filters can cause disturbances to the incoming line and can change the behavior of the RCD in series. More often, loads have single phase inverters built in. High frequency- and extended DC-immunity incorporated in a protection device with high surge current proofness enables the next generation of machines to become safe above the standard.
