Eaton's ECONO-PAC (EP) family toroid power inductors/transformers utilize iron powder core material in a secure, 4 terminal surface mount construction and can be used as single or coupled inductors or 1:1 transformers that provide isolation between two windings. The windings can be connected in series or in parallel, offering a broad range of inductance and current ratings. EP power inductors/transformers come in two footprints, 11.43 mm x 11.43 mm and 13.97 mm x 13.97 mm, and four heights. EP power inductor/transformers can be used in several applications including computer and portable power devices, LCD panels, DVD players, buck, boost, forward, and resonant converters, noise filtering and filter chokes, DC-DC converts (as an inductor), transformers: (1:1), 300 Vdc isolation, SEPIC, flyback.
