Eaton’s high power TVS Diode provide reliable overvoltage protection with very fast response times, low clamping voltage and high peak current capability in a host of electronic equipment.  They are available in surface mount and radial or through-hole footprints and utilize silicon avalanche technology for excellent protection against damaging transient surges, from ESD to lightning strikes.  The product line has up to 5 kW of peak power dissipation on 10/1000 µs waveforms and 3.5 kA peak current on 8/20 µs waveforms for surface mount packages.  The through-hole product family can suppress up to 15 kW peak power on 10/1000 µs waveform and 10 kA peak current on 8/20 µs waveforms.
