Why should I care about overvoltage protection?

Overvoltage events can occur within your installation from internal or external sources. Switching actions of specific loads can cause harmful voltage spikes in your installation which could result in damages or fire hazard. Therefore, test class 2 tested devices are mandatory for new installations and are highly recommended to be retrofitted into existing applications.

For which applications can I use SPCT2?

The SPCT2 range can be used in residential settings, such as meter boards or sub distribution boards in homes or garages, as well as in commercial buildings such as hospitals, manufacturing plants, communication infrastructures and many more. In addition, the SPCT2 is suitable for integration into EV chargers, inverters, heat pumps or similar applications.
