Eaton’s VigilOX™ breathing sensors measure pilot respiration and cabin environmental conditions to gather data to help understand unexplained physiological events. The portable VigilOX™ Inhalation Sensor Block (ISB), is a pilot mounted sensor that captures characteristics of oxygen supply gas and cabin environmental data at the point of inhalation during flight. Data includes oxygen flow rate and concentration to assess oxygen system performance, along with cabin temperature and pressure conditions. The ISB is coupled with Eaton’s VigilOX™ Exhalation Sensor Block (ESB), which monitors and collects pilot respiration data by measuring oxygen consumption and expired carbon dioxide at the point of exhalation.
