Redapt metallic adaptors & reducers

Redapt series of explosionproof metallic adaptors and reducers provide a method of matching electrical thread forms on hazardous area approved equipment while ensuring the integrity and Ex approval of the installation is maintained.

Designed for hazardous area applications and the ranges are certified to protection concepts Exd "Flameproof" and Exe "Increased Safety"  for use in Zone 1 and Zone 2 applications. Also certified Ex tb “dust tight” for use in Zone 21 and 22 applications.

Integrated o-ring supplied as standard on male to female adaptors and reducers

All parallel male threads are supplied with an o-ring seal as standard to maintain IP66/IP68 level of ingress protection.

Tapered male thread options are not normally supplied complete with an o-ring seal; thread sealant should be used to maintain the desired level of ingress protection. If an o-ring seal is required (clearance holes), this can be available as an option.
