Helicopter emergency egress lighting

Eaton’s helicopter emergency egress lighting system (HEELS) lights egress exits, emergency escape hatches and push-out windows by illuminating their perimeter, enabling passengers to clearly identify emergency exits and reach safety. We designed our HEELS with multiple activation methods:

• Automatic illumination when triggered by a water sensor, crash sensor or rotor permanent magnet generator (PMG)
  
• Manual illumination using a cockpit three-mode switch (ON, OFF, ARMED)
• Battery-operated independent lighting system

Our HEELS are easy to install, highly reliable, durable and are up to ten times brighter than FAA requirements.
