Derived from the historic 8N45 range, the 8N45S series is an RCC-E K2 qualified (Class 1E Mild) nuclear grade connector designed to meet EPR requirements.
Using approved component materials, our connectors can endure high radiation levels and challenging nuclear environments while complying with key nuclear industry standards (RCC-E and IEEE). Their integrated cable clamp with shielding continuity, developed for Generation 3 reactors, offers strong traction resistance and reduces shell-to-shell resistance (≤ 20 mΩ), providing EMI/RFI protection over a broad frequency range.
As an RCC-E K2 qualified product, quality documentation validating the design and manufacturing process accompanies every batch of connectors. Their quick-connection system (bayonet type) allows easy mating and rapid maintenance. Six sizes are available, ranging from 3 to 37 contacts, making this series suitable for various applications. These connectors are supplied globally and are utilized in over 100 nuclear power plants.
