The difficulty of finding a fast, reliable harness manufacturer led us years ago to start our own in-house cable assembly production, which has helped customers reduce suppliers and benefit from our best-in-class quality levels. Overmolding is a process that further enhances UTS sealing properties, especially over many years of use. Overmolding allows users to change the cable exit from straight through 90 degrees and avoid any stress on the cable terminated to the connector. Also, encapsulating wires inside of moulding creates a barrier to prevents liquid from entering the equipment through the connector if the cable jacket is breached. Typical applications may include stage lighting, medical equipment, solar energy, instrumentation and off-road vehicles.
