Magnetic and solenoid operated shoe brakes

Industrial duty solenoid operated shoe brakes

Industrial duty solenoid operated shoe brakes are electrically released and spring actuated providing "fail-safe" operation. The retarding torque developed is directly proportional to the spring pressure. All solenoid operated brakes offer a high friction material that maintains high head resistance over a wide temperature range. These brakes are designed and recommended for use and mounting only in the floor position

Core features of industrial duty solenoid operated shoe brakes

  • Equally distributed low shoe pressure over a large lining area results in even wear of friction surfaces and even braking torque.
  • AC or DC rated continuous or intermittent duty coils.
  • DC coils Cont. int. duty coils with low-resistance pick-up winding is used to provide maximum power when the plunger is being pulled in. Combined resistance of two windings limits the holding current to preventing excessive heat build-up in the coil.
