Medium-voltage switchgear

Pad-mounted R-VAC Vacuum-Break Switch

Eaton's Cooper Power series RVAC pad-mounted vacuum switchgear is designed for applications where frequent 600 A main line switching plus fuse protection is required. It utilizes a vacuum switch mechanism designed specifically for repetitive switching duty. Vacuum switches offer the further advantages of long life in repetitive service, low maintenance and high switching ratings.

Multiple current-limiting fusing options
Easy system coordination
Repetitive switching
Improved reliability
Integrated design
Simple set-up and operation

Core features

  • Available in single- or three-phase units with 15, 25 and 35 kV ratings with vacuum switches
  • Available with fuse protection (oil-filled only)
  • Removable sill
  • Oil sight gauge/SF6 pressure gauge
  • Side-opening cabinet doors
  • Pressure-relief valve for oil tanks
  • Oil fill plug/SF6 fill port
  • Stand-off brackets for each bushing
  • Removable oil fuse drip tray

Designed for optimum safety

Eaton's Cooper Power series R-VAC vacuum-break switch deadfront construction is tamper-resistant, and provides a high margin of safety for utility personnel and the general public.

Ideal for use in commercial and industrial parks

Oil, E200 fluid, FR3 fluid or SF6 insulation provides a compact, low-profile design that is unobtrusive in commercial and industrial / office park applications.

Simplified coordination

A wide range of current-limiting fusing options provides simple, easy coordination with system requirements. Oil-filled units are available with fuse protection.
