Eaton's 21 series backshells are designed for mechanical applications with straight, 45° and 90° split shell configurations to resolve design difficulties and provide ideal solutions. Various termination types are available depending on cable make-up (e.g., one ring, two ring, three ring) and application (e.g, overall shield braid, individual pigtail braid or individual/overall braiding). No tools are necessary for terminating shielded cables.
06 backshells are compatible with primary circular connector standards and can be ordered with various interfaces depending on the connector used. They also meet American and European standards, including D38999, M26482, EN2997, EN3645 and M5015.
The self-seating technology is a lightweight solution compared to the conventional self-locking solutions. The body design has been optimized to remove excess material while ensuring robustness, which helps optimize the system's overall weight and fuel consumption.
