The EXP-2R-MULTI is a flexible, multi-functional device with three unique and innovative modes which can solve challenges and introduce solutions that optimise a wide range of installations.

Standalone

Link Scantronic radio devices to any legacy or third-party systems; learn the radio devices into the EXP-2R MULTI and connect the wired outputs to the legacy or third-party system. A typical use case is adding radio HUA functionally to wired intruder alarm systems.

Hybrid Expander

Mimicking a wired expander, the EXP-2R-MULTI allows zone, tamper and fault messages to be sent to the panel, and the panel to send output messages, sounder control and device locator signals. Simply connect any local wired zone or outputs to the EXP-2R-MULTI then add to the panel via radio.

Linked Transceiver

Add bi-directional control and indication between systems; an input on EXP-2R-MULTI results in the output on another EXP-2R-MULTI and back again.

For example, EXP-2R-MULTI A could connect to a fire alarm linked by radio to EXP-2R-MULTI B which is connected to an intruder alarm. When the fire alarm activates, MULTI A transmits to MULTI B, triggering the intruder alarm. The intruder alarm can reset the fire alarm by triggering an input of MULTI B, resulting in an output on MULTI A.
